HOW TO GROW

 It doesn't matter where you work or what your work may be,

With brain or muscle you're employed,

regardless of the fee;

But what does matter is the way in which you do your work,

That in the daily tasks of life you ne'er your duty shirk.

It doesn't matter where you live,

in castle,

hall,

or cot,

The size,

extent of your estate,

oh no,

it matters not;

But what does matter is the way in which you live your life,

And in the way you hold your chin,

in trouble and in strife.

It doesn't matter what your rank,

how high you've climbed in life,

For some must rule,

the rest obey,

that is a law of life;

But what does matter is the way that you have gained your ends,

By kindly deed and honest toil,

that's what matters,

friends.
